மறுநாள் காலமே பலிசெலுத்தப்படும் நேரத்தில், இதோ, தண்ணீர் ஏதோம் தேசவழியாய் வந்ததினால் தேசம் தண்ணீரால் நிரம்பிற்று.

அந்த நாளிலே கர்த்தர் யோசுவாவை எல்லா இஸ்ரவேலர்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் மேன்மைப்படுத்தினார்; அவர்கள் மோசேக்குப் பயந்திருந்ததுபோல, யோசுவாவிற்கும், அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாட்களெல்லாம் பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லா ஜனங்களுக்கும் உயர்ந்தவனாக யோசுவாவை கர்த்தர் அந்த நாளில் மேன்மைப்படுத்தினார். அப்போதிலிருந்து ஜனங்கள் யோசுவாவை மதித்தனர். மோசேயை அவர்கள் மதித்தபடியே, யோசுவாவையும் அவன் வாழ்க்கை முழுவதும் ஜனங்கள் மதித்தனர்.
